My Summarized Review on the CDMA HTC Touch Pro (HTC Raphael)

  • Pros:
    • 3.2 MP Camera With Flash Light & Auto Focus
    • Nice Size, Fits Nicely in the hand
    • 5 Row Qwerty Side Slide out HW Keyboard
    • 2.8 480x640 VGA TFT Screen
    • Light Sensor (which aids in auto screen adjustment, as well as other utilities that my use it for other things)
      & Tri-Axis Accelerometer ( motion / tilt sensor)
    • HTC Touch FLO 3D UI Navigation (Today Plug-in) is an great usable addition, Which includes a eye candy Contacts, Photo, weather, & Music player apps
    • FM Radio
    • HTC's Ext USB Works with Regular Mini USB
    • GPS support for 3rd party apps
      • Note: For the Verizon version GPS support is only active after the Official ROM Update. A GPS Fix for the original shipped ROM for the Verizon Touch Pro. Thanks to the wonderful works of lllboredlll over @ PPC Geeks (you only need this if you choose not to upgrade with the official ROM Update)
  • Cons:
    • Battery life of the standard mah1340 battery is really bad, your likely to only get 8 to 12 hrs out of it in a day. But as expected for this powerful device
    • No FM Radio (on the Verizon Version)
    • RAM Downgraded (on the Verizon Version), not enough RAM
    • No IR Output (so you would not be able to use any remote control apps)
    • No front side camera on US models for video calling and self portrait
    • In Call Volume is very poor on most CDMA Models especially Verizon
      • Here is a fix to make the in Call Volume a lot louder. Thanks to badboy8813 over @ PPC Geeks
