The Verizon Samsung SCH-i730 Windows Mobile
Professional Smart Phone - Released by Verizon
July 2005 -
Discontinued
My 3rd Windows Mobile Professional Smart Phone (PPC) I have owned.
- Pros:
- Very Durable,
even though it seems like a flimsy & fragile device
- Upgradeable to
WM5, which has more support for newer apps
- Included extra
extended mah1100 battery
- Wi-Fi (802.11b)
- Cons:
- Battery life of the standard mah1000
battery is really bad, your likely to only get 8 to 12 hrs out of it in a
day. But as expected.
- No FM Radio
- ROM/RAM Space
- Power/Key
Lock/Backlight switch - Since it's also the key lock and when activated
(when the switch is in the up position) and you go to turn on the device it
sometimes turns off the back light. And if its already on with the key lock
activated, and you want to just unlock it, you might accidentally turn off
the device.
- No Camera - As
it was intended by Samsung. Verizon didn't want it included, knowingly it is
a popular feature.
